Editorial Trip 2008

I would like to start off this post by stating that Malacca is an overrated tourist trap. Everything in Malacca (minus this heritage buildings and chicken rice balls) I can find in KL - and better. Petaling Street > Jonker Street. Pavilion + KLCC + One Utama + the Curve + etc >> Mahkota Parade.

And seriously, we drove 2 hours+ to go to a freaking Animal Safari/Zoo. It's bad enough that I don't really like animals, but the poor things are exploited and not given freedom. Not to mention that their enclosures were pretty pathetic looking. And I had to sit through 30 minutes of a very sad elephant show. I love elephants, but not when they are doing things they should not naturally be doing, ie: standing on two hind legs for an overweight "ranger" to climb on its forehead.

Really, how liberating.

At least our accommodation for the night was not to bad. It was clean, pretty well-maintained and spacious enough for 10 people. Not too shabby, I can't complain. Hiew Lam and I shared a bed while Ale and Debbie were in the next one. For the first time, Ale was not the one bumping into people at night.

When we got to Jonker Street (overrated), Hiew Lam and I pretty much ran away from our group and went to eat...:

CHICKEN RICE BALLS!

Don't play play okay, the shop we randomly chose was actually a pretty famous place. We sat next to this wall where they displayed every famous customer. There was 5566, Miss Malaysia, and even Mayday ( 五月天 ). Sadly though, it didn't include the "Ho Chiak!" crew. xD
Stadhuys.

Gah, haven't been blogging much. Been putting off alot of stuff lately. There's so many things I want to blog about but I'm just much too lazy to screencap/upload/post/repeat cycle. I want to talk about Daisy Lowe, Skins (series 2!), Gossip Girl, the differences between Skins and Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf vs. Cassie Ainsworth (stylewise).

I want to talk about clothes, fashion, stuff I want to buy, my DIY projects thanks to Skins and the SKINS AUDITIONS that I can never attend because
a) I'm not British
b) I'm not anywhere near London

Oh how I love London. I want to go back. Brick Lane. Camden market. Oxford Circus. H&M. Comme des Garcons. Uniqlo. American Apparel. Beyond Retro and of course, TOPSHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
