Twilight + New Moon + whatever else...

So yeah as the title says. I've been using the August Hari Raya holidays to catch up on my (much needed) reading and I just so happened finally managed to borrow New Moon from Zoee. Everyone knows what I thought about the hype around these books and I've said it once, I'll type it out this time.

I've never read such utter garbage in my life.

Seriously? How could anyone go through the whole book? Because the whole time I was reading it the same questions kept repeating in my head...

"Okay, so he goes away...then what?" "Oh...so?" "Okay...what's the point?" "Who cares?" "Now what?"

And these would seem like really legitimate questions if I asked them in anticipation, but I'm not. I'm asking them in a deadpan sort of way. What is really the point of this book? It's not like Harry Potter where at least we know where Harry is going and what he's after so now we're reading the filler bits with a little bit of mystery and mayhem thrown in between, but with the Twilight series it's like, Okay, so she loves this boy, he goes away. Okay so he's gone, she meets another guy.....DO I REALLY CARE??? WHAT IS SHE AFTER???!?!?!?!?!

I don't really know the real reason why I'm even reading this series in the first or why I feel so compelled to finish it. All I know is that Inessa says when you hate something you have to know what it's about or what you're insulting before you can insult it - and that is quite utterly true.

Even so, I'm subjecting myself to torture for no reason. It's not like its the greatest love story I've read - Hell, you're talking to the Queen of Mills and Boon romances. The worst part is I went on Amazon and some reviewer said that this book was perfect for teaching teens about abstinence.

WHAT THE FUCK, NO WONDER THERE WAS NO LUST. and I don't mean bloodlust

Where's the sexual tension? Where's the teasing? Where's the sexual frustration? Yes, abstinence is good and all for we all don't want to end up like Jamie Lynn Spears but for Heaven's sake if I'm not allowed to have sex in real life at least let me live vicariously through fictional characters. If I can't have sex and get pregnant, then let Bella have sex and get pregnant! When I think about vampires, I think about hot Gods all sexually repressed ready to bite and do the next beautiful pale thing he sees like those fanfics one used to read in abundance on Quizilla.com OKAY!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I saw D working in One Utama today. I guess that's why I feel so emo. :(

On another (more positive) note: I think Robert Pattinson (R.Patzz!) is perfect for the role of Edward. I've seen several spoilers and on-set photos (Twilight Tuesday on ONTD ;D) and mama mia, does he look extremely sexy. Just the type of guy one can imagine to be a devastatingly handsome vampire WHO IS A WOMANIZER AND WANTS TO HAVE SEX WITH LOTS OF GIRLS
